The goal of the research is to determine and characterize the kinship vocabulary in Turkish according to: their origin, whether they are native or distributed from another language; if the terms, borrowed from other languages, are used in modern Turkish; to what type of word formation (organic or derived) each of them belongs and their parallels in the Georgian linguistic world, interaction of these parallels in language and dialects. The research is focused on their participation in word formation and polysemy.
