In the context of technological advancements and digital techniques, the preservation of cultural heritage materials becomes crucial, necessitating in-depth material and laboratory research. This paper focuses on the study of a 14th-century manuscript [Q-1263] using an X-ray fluorescence analyzer (XRF EDX 3600B) to characterize parchment fiber, identify materials, and understand creation techniques. The research investigates causes of damage to the manuscript, environmental influences, and the recipe used in its preparation. By comparing Georgian etrat processing methods with other cultures, insightful conclusions are drawn.
