Abstract

Zakaria Paliashvili was Catholic and it is a well-known fact. Accordingly, it is not a surprise that he, as a dedicated artist, he started his career in the Catholic Church and over many years he served as an organist, a choirmaster and a conductor at Catholic churches in Kutaisi and Tbilisi. His cooperation with the Orthodox Church is noteworthy and valuable which must have been conditioned by his own ecclesiastical and theological stance.
